I'm actually thinking about it. The manual boot can't be too expensive, and it definitely gives the interior a cleaner look. So does anyone know if we use the same boot as the e90s?

Looks good but violates a few major modding rules for me... mostly the fact that I can almost promise you that someone will incorrectly put your car in the wrong gear or try to crack your stick off.

One of the posters in the e90 thread said that with this mod once time he accidentally had the car in neutral but thought it was drive and nearly hit a parked car at 1mph.

This is a dumb mod I think.

Not to mention that this was a factory option that included a car thats more fun to drive and saved over $2k. LOL

Eh, it looks like a pretty cool mod. Look at the dash to see what gear you're in. Also, for Drive you just pull all the way back, can't miss it?

That guy who rolled back said his dash said "D" when it happened. My guess is that the light beside the shifter would've said the same thing anyways so it probably would have happened no matter what.

Looks good but if you are not a hands and eye co-ordination type of person then you might get into a few accidents lol..

I don't know man..I had a friend do this and he had me move his car and since it looked manual I proceded to press the clutch but there wasn't one and I was like wth??? then saw it was auto and proceded to laugh like hell.

imho if its auto to me it looks cleaner the way it is stock..don't fake the funk
