Yes! The clutch was finally installed last week. The problem before was that my flywheel had had been worked on before so the clutch didn't fit.
I ended up ordering a new OEM Dual-Mass Flywheel and after it arrived last week they installed it along with the new clutch and it was a perfect fit.
I picked up my car and was able to drive for a few kms home and the difference was amazing. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do a proper test drive because just when I got home I stubbed my foot and ended up with a broken toe and haven't been able to drive since then...it'll be one more week at least before I can drive again.
The good news is that the clutch fits!

Maybe someone here can help me out. With the 550i clutch route with new DMFW and my mechanic says it doesn't fit. He said the clutch doesn't fit properly and is spaced towards the back of the car. The clutch disk does not make contact with the flywheel.

The clutch part number is correct, but its the wrong flywheel.
1M flywheel part number is 21-20-7-619-659

Maybe they ordered the 550i flywheel? The only 550i part you should use is the clutch itself, everything else is from the 1M. If your original DMFW isn't toast, you may be able to re-use it and complete install.

The flywheel surface wears along with the clutch. You may be able to resurface the flywheel, but after 10+ years and it being a 1M most owners replace instead of resurface. You'll at least want a new input shaft/pilot bearing (in the center of the flywheel) which will probably need to be pressed in, so you will need new bolts either way.

Yes, replace the slave cylinder while you're in there, and the pivot pin.
