Void warrenty?
Will you void your warrenty if you change suspension? do you have to take it off when you go back in for service or no?

It is a modification, but in order to void your warranty, they have to show good reason why the modification(s) caused the problem. For example, if your suspension caused stress on the shock mounts, they would not cover damage to the car from a failed shock absorber mounting.
It would be hard for the manufacturer to show how drivetrain or electrical failure could be caused by a non standard suspension, though - as these components are not related to the suspension. |

Technically they can VOID anything- they also don't really have to PROVE anything. If something looks like it's been tampered with and there is no record on their system that it was warranty covered they legally are allowed to deny anything. Dealerships in CA, FL, NY and GA are known for rejecting things as such. |

I'm well aware of it; good luck getting anywhere with it when it comes to your BMW car and the Federal Government though.
