I am interested in the front sway bar only setup and just like others said it cost so much to replace the rear and the cost will diminish the benefit.

Hey guys,
After talking with Harold @ HP Autowerks, I started a GB thread for the hotchkis front swaybar in the Commercial forum. Please sign up if you're interested! |

I installed the UUC front sway and M3 rods last weekend. Autox today and tested out the new setup. I ran with stock RFT and wheels. Stock rear sway.
The sway bar acted exactly as expected. Reduced understeer on initial turn. Much flatter cornering. A tad more push on corner exit is the trade off. The M3 rods helped as well. I was surprised how much deflection the stock bushings have. I was able to make the stock bushings move with minimal pressure. The M3 ones are much stiffer. I can see why the M cars do not come with run flats. The stiffer bushings combined with the stiff walled RFT make for a a bumpy ride over pot holes. They say the suspension is tuned for the runflats and I can see that means they made the bushings nice and soft. The M3 rods with non-RFT would likely feel great on the street and handle better at the autox. On a side note, I had the new software that "fixes" the turbo lag installed on Thursday. Can't say it eliminates it but it greatly reduces it. |

Did not weigh the stock, but it is tubular and weighs much less. I would guestimate 5lbs.
Full still. I have a redesigned one so I do not have any of the problems Larry had with the original version. Looking at the redesign and the original, the difference seems to be that the tabs are angled on the redesign while they were straight on the original. |
