DV/BOV Plumb-back Tubing Diameter?

So with the new Anti-Hoon Laws in my state my car is now considered more dangerous than a drunk driver because my BOV vents to atmosphere.

As a result, I'm looking to get the Plumb-back adapter for the HKS SSQV 4 but I need to know the diameter for the piping as there are 2 versions: 19mm and 29mm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The OD of the OE accordion pipe where is appears to be heat shrunk to the OE diverter valve is approximately 29.6mm at the widest part of the flange. The OD of the accordion pipe where it is heat shrunk on the gray clip is approximately 32.5mm.

I would go with the 29mm one. I'm not sure you will be able to use the OE pipe. That will depend on whether you can remove the pipe from the diverter valve with a heat gun. You could always cut the OE pipe off the gray clip and make your own pipe.

I did this very same thing to plumb back my DV's to the intake tubes. I used a 1.00" (25.4mm) ID silcone tube like this one:

and an elbow like this:

I will try to get you one this weekend. I will have to pop off the fliter on my Helix intake so you can see it, but that's no big deal.

That coupled with Australia's antiquated "Design Regulations" means that if you car is:

- Too Low
- Has a slightly louder than stock exhaust
- An uprated turbo or an added turbo
- An aftermarket Supercharger
- Aftermarket wheels
- Pod Filter
- BOV

Pretty much anything that changes the appearance or performance of the car...

Your car can be impounded and potentially crushed by any cop at the side of the road. You don't get a ticket or a warning or a court date. The cops are now judge, jury, and executioner.

Some of these things can be mitigated by a "Mod Plate" but some cannot.

A BOV that vents to atmosphere is not legal here and never has been but previously you would get a warning or a defect notice and you'd just have to put the stock CP and DVs back on...

Not anymore.

Two things:

1) Cops have to be pretty well informed about mechanics and cars in general as well in order to notice most of those stuff...which is scary!
2) Maybe time to move to another country?

1. The cops have been given no training whatsoever. It's a judgment call for them and they decision is final.

2. Seriously considering it.
