2012 e88 135i Adaptive Headlight Question

I've searched and read several posts on our headlights. I couldn't find information specific to the top row of white (whatever you call them) lights. Which bulb\s or control units control this light? I thought it was out, but it appears to simply be very dim. The driver side is nice and bright. The passenger side, not so much. See pics. I think the passenger was even replaced at one time, but it appears all OEM. Had the car a month and just noticed it. So, if it was there before, I didn't notice it. Or, it just recently started.

Thoughts?
