First drive in my 2013 135is

Just picked up my new (to me) 2013 135is Le Mans Blue w/ DCT with only 41k miles! I had purchased the car a month ago and had it shipped from Massachusetts to Los Angeles where I currently reside. Upon getting the car off of the trailer, I immediately noticed oil leaking from the undercarriage. I was honestly heartbroken and reached out to the seller, but all he could tell me was that they hadn't noticed any oil leaks while doing their safety inspection. My first instinct was to pop the hood and try to source the oil leak myself, but I quickly learned that the hood latch was not functioning at all and I couldn't get the hood open. (I wonder how they did a safety inspection without being able to open the hood? lol). Anyways, I wanted to get the car fixed by a shop and took it in to Bimmer Connection in Thousand Oaks, California. They had the car for two weeks and did the following repairs: replaced the onboard diagnostic cable to the fuel filler neck which had a minor leak, removed and resealed the engine oil pan gasket, removed and resealed the oil engine filter housing, replaced the primary Bowden cable for the front hood latch and lubricated the linked components, replaced the drive belt tensioner, and put in new spark plugs.

Took the car through some canyons today and stopped by the beach to snap a few shots of the car. I'm not exactly sure what my first steps will be with the car but I definitely plan on making some upgrades in the future. I've browsed this forum for almost a year now and I'm beyond excited I now have a reason to start posting here.

Beautiful car, a twin of mine, and congrats. That sucks to hear about your repairs, but I've done all of those as well on mine which just hit 50k.

I found the suspension was the first thing that needed to be addressed, and have been super happy with it since. Then more power it's been 3 years and it still makes me grin every day.

Thank you! Nice to have met a few twins already (one on reddit as well). I expected the repairs and it was clear the car had sat for a while before I finally bought it. After spending a little bit of time with the car I definitely want to upgrade the suspension at some point. Then comes a few bolt ons before a tune. Loving the power right now as I'm coming from a 2015 528i but I'm sure that won't last long

Rob over at Bimmer Connection was super helpful. When I pulled up to the shop for the first time, I immediately noticed a 135 and two 335's in his garage. Made me feel confident about his ability to work on the N55 but also somewhat worried me that there were 3 N55's there LOL.
