FMIC is definitely at the top of my future upgrades. I'm pretty sure that picture was from when I was running Continental ExtremeContact DW (225 front 245 rear), but I can't say for sure.

Is there any discernible difference in feel of the 1m front strut bar vs the mason engineering?

Huge difference -- not sure how to describe it but the front end feels much more solid with the Mason Engineering bar. The only gripe I had with it was that I had to get a shop to machine it to get it to fit, but even so was well worth the money

Did you get the one with the the stock arms or the short custom arms? And what did they have to adjust, machine? I have been drooling over that piece for a while

edit: here's a picture, you can see how the cutout was a little bit off and had to be machined out a little to fit. Last edited by dbronnik; 09-03-2015 at 01:28 PM.. |

I'm located in norcal / bay area
Here's a teaser pic -- still need to finish up a couple things under the bumper (you can see air ducts aren't installed), but I got impatient waiting for last of parts to show up so I threw it on there

Thanks! I haven't decided on the side skirts. I'm still running the 135i side skirts right now so they're not lined up in the front. It's not that bad -- actually it's sort of annoying that the fender LINER pokes out..
I discussed a couple options with the shop I went to to get my parts painted and they said they were confident they could mold the two side skirts together, but not confident they could pull the side skirts out to somewhat line up with the fender using a heat gun (I would have preferred that approach). I'm still considering both options, but realistically I'll probably just wait until I do the rear end conversion

Living my dream man! Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see how it drives with the turbos.
Have you thought about inlets? They're much easier to do with the turbos out and show a number of improvements in flow and turbo response. Last edited by BrokenVert; 10-05-2015 at 10:23 PM.. |

I have my eye on the TFT inlet system, but it's just a little too much all at once for now

Though TFTs are an interesting move, those are the ones that relocate the filters to the left side of the motor, right? |
