If it is, make sure you thoroughly check out history, as the Sylvania car drove like it had been thrashed.. Heaps of rattles and the gearbox selector was super sloppy.. Also the panels didn't line up that well. |

I love the comfort access option. It's one of those things I never thought I'd option, but now I have it I couldn't live without it. |

I went and drove an M4 a few weekends ago and was chatting with the salesman. He mentioned he'd had a few order fro M2's from existing 1M owners, but they were keeping their 1's as well.
Food for thought with regards to holding their price. |

I think we are quite lucky with the 1Ms in Australia. The allocation we got was pretty high in comparison to other cars. In fact theres actually quite a few in Melbourne and I see a VO one travelling down Ferntree Gully road from time to time.
Theres always quite a few on carsales and with the rate they're depreciating I could probably just get one in a couple years. Makes me think twice about modding out my 135i with all these M3 bits.

I drive my VO down FTG road every now and then
We did get quite a decent allocation, so it'll be interesting to see how much they drop as time goes on. I have a feeling they'll drop a little lower, then hold and perhaps rise in years to come. |

Is this a sign of (i) buyers having waited for M2 and not quite impressed with specs and/or looks of M2 as compared with 1M OR (ii) circa $40k price gap between new M2 and used 1M and associated value OR (iii) a combination of both?

Doubt anyone could confirm until official Oz specs and pricing have been announced and even then, whether dealers are allowed/prepared to give discounts on the car. Until then, it's all speculation even from dealer reps and so-called long-time customers

Hope the prices of the 1M appreciate considering that it's limited production. But that's coz I'm bias if you know what I mean 😝😉

So many in the 85-95k range for a <25k kms example but it's just too much for what it is. The rate at which the price ramps up for <25k <20k <15k <10k kms is just ridiculous, there's essentially no difference condition wise, unless someone literally intends to store it as an investment and not drive it at all I don't think it's worth paying a 10-45k price premium. |

Nice pickup. I couldn't live without my heated seats though, nor could my wife I fear!
Yes that's true, but the car sold new for what, 110k fully optioned? Asking 90k plus for an often not optioned-out 3 year old car with 10k kms on it is pretty crazy, it's not like we have the population to vehicle ratio the US or European countries had. 200 was probably about right, 300 means we're in a constant state of oversupply where there's always a few for sale. That kills any 'super rare car' aura they enjoy in other countries, where you can go months and never see one for sale, and there's a hoard of hungry buyers just waiting to snap them up. Doesn't work in Australia, and that's why the most expensive ones aren't moving. |

I've got Bucket seats, comfort access, heated seats plus it had CF rear, roof spoiler and skirts and diffusers well with KW V3 with under 10k on the clock. YEs I guess the car is only worth for what people are willing to pay.
