Removing leftover residue from trunk spoiler
The previous owner of my car put on a carbon fiber performance style spoiler. The clear started to yellow so I pulled it off using the methods I found on here from searching. I have gotten all of the 3m tape off, but there is some small residue left over from where the tape was on there for so long. Also there is some dirt buildup that is where the lip used to be (makes an outline of where the spoiler was mounted).
I have a new spoiler coming in the mail, but I want to get all this stuff off before I install the new one. What should I do to remove all the leftovers from the old spoiler? |

Don't think so. 3M makes a remover product. If goo-gone didn't take care of enough of it to where you couldn't just polish it off, then I'd get that and use it. It works really well.

3m makes a paint safe adhesive remover stuffs amazing. Just make sure to spray let it sit a couple then lightly wipe. The harder you whip the faster it will come off, but you'll dull the paint finish and will just need to polish it real quick then your good to go!
