As I was driving home from work I had a call from my dealer to say my car had arrived this afternoon. Happily I was about 2 minutes away so I went straight there to have a look.

Hadn't been programmed or anything but it appears to have all the correct options including the new iDrive! Which by the way looks perfectly acceptable sitting up on the dash. The screen itself is recessed a little into the dash so the binnacle that overhangs is about half the height of the actual screen. The screen looks big (as it is 8.8" now) and the new controller is excellent. Feels much better quality in your hand.

Anyway, I didn't have a camera with me but I will go back in the morning and hopefully take some pics to share with you all.

That is only in NA anyway. It isn't Year 1 of the 1 here. 1 series has been around for years.
