2F71 Fault Code
Does anyone know what the 2F71 code means in English?? I just hooked up my BT cable today for the first time and got the below code in addition to the famous 2FBF fuel pump code as well as a 2F80 "Motor shutoff time plausibilitiy." Also, these were the only three codes I pulled up on the fault codes and shadow fault codes listing. Do I need to delete these before I take it in? I already pulled my RR intake and JB3. Thanks.

I did a search and found this...

I searched around on the >forum and found that there is an SIB (service bulletin) from BMW stating that >there is a known issue with our tail lamps/lamp socket. I'm told >there >is a fan in the electrical box (ebox) where the ECU and the JB3 are >located. I've never looked for it but have heard it mentioned a few times. Thanks for the explanation. With the three codes I listed, is it safe to not erase them when I take it in for its first service?
And now after removing the JB3 and the intake i'm having to reset my clock everytime I start the engine...it is getting annoying. Any ideas on what I did to cause that? |
