Track brakes hot...reduce power
Out at Summit Point this weekend tweaking the setup on my 128. It's not gruesomely hot, but warm enough we are tracking in shorts (no flip-flops).
Towards the end of each session, I'm getting a reduction in power, comes and goes on different parts of the track. DTC completely off. I'm thinking it is something in the coding where the brakes are hitting a temperature threshold and reducing engine power. No flickering dash lights noticed. Calipers are standard, pads are upgraded to coolstops, LSD in rear. I'm not lifting that I know of, so not sure how much e-diff is working. Any other thoughts on potential other cause? Can the temp setting be coded out? I'm getting ready to put 335 calipers/rotors front and rear as soon as I use these up, but not sure if that helps. |

When I overheat my brakes due to elsd intervention I do not get any power reduction and I get the brake yellow dash light on.
I would say your problem is engine oil temp... especially if you do not have the oil cooler! |

This nanny can be coded off by INPA. The parameter is called:
" Engine Power Reduction to Prevent Brake Disc Overheating (FLR) " http://www.onelapx1.com/blog/how-to-...w-actually-fun
