N54 Exhaust time baby!
Hey guys, been researching a bit. It sounds like maddog has the loudest sounding exhaust? I am curious on everybody's research and experience on which exhaust is pretty loud and I'm talking like turn your head loud haha and and a full exhaust system that gives me power. Just bought a jb4 and a full exhaust is my next purchase.
What does everyone advise? I am not looking for anything quite. Share some links too of videos with the exhaust systems. SO far liking the maddog street exhause (not the whisperer) |

At the top of the 135i turbo engine exhaust and drivetrain modifications page (the page that you posted this thread on) there's a sticky of all the exhaust sounds. I suggest you check that list out

I got the AA Gen 1 exhaust and the AA DPs which I bought from Mike at a great price. Sound with a tune is absolutely perfect, engine heatsoak and turbo lag are reduced. If I get the chance tomorrow, I will take an exhaust video.

I think you mean maddad not maddog. I love their exhaust but it is on the quieter side actually.
Vrsf catless downpipes, Berk mids (unresonated) and any unmuffled axleback will scream if you want loud. |

Here is a video that I just took today. Exhaust is AA DPs and Gen 1 Exhaust. Stock midpipe, so still pretty restrictive there.

What would you guys recommend for midpipes? I'm looking for a deeper, slightly louder tone at idle/low acceleration (it already screams at WOT). I have VRSF catless DP's and UUC/Corsa axleback with stock N54 midpipes. Would going aftermarket midpipe make my setup too loud? Would it drone or be raspy (I suspect the Corsa axleback would take care of any additional drone caused by the midpipes)?
