Blue LED swap...

Changing the LEDs in the cabin to blue. Still in progress but here's a couple pics of what's been done so far. I did the speedo cluster, steering wheel, trunk button, climate control, light switch, both window controls. Radio is beating me for now. And need to figure out how to get the sunroof/SOS controls out. I have the start button and dtc lock buttons out. Just need to get the right LEDs for them.

Not sure what you mean about pics of the progress? I put 5 pics up. There is a little more info in the DIY I have about the instrument cluster. Thanks! It's been tough so far trying not to break the plastics. Hahaha.

Thanks man! Most do prefer the orange. All of the lights match now. AE's, radar detector, and interior. It's becoming a pretty long process though.

Thanks! I hear that a lot. I've had the cluster done for about a year now and I can't tell a difference. I have them just a tad dimmer. I have no problem driving at night and still not hit a deer that jumps out if front of me. 3 weeks ago. Love these brakes.

I think @RimasRS means he wants to see how you installed the LED's step by step, like in a DIY.

I did this by taking apart each piece and finding the led on it and re soldering a blue one in its place. Each piece has its own way to get it out, steering wheel controls, headlight switch, instrument cluster and so on. You follow the instructions on getting those out, which have quite a few DIY's on here. Once you get the piece out your on your own pretty much. You look at it and see what clips/screws hold it together and you take it apart. Most of which are extremely easily broken. If you search for blue led instrument cluster I made a DIY for that. I do have to warn though. I simply cannot get the radio. The LEDs are to small and there is no part number. I've asked previous members how it was done as I've only found 2 that no longer own the cars, and i never get a response. So right now my cabin is only 90% done. Which I fear might be the lasting result. I'm sure one day I'll get it sorted but I don't see it happening in the near future. Go for a quick search. You should find everything that you need. But again I caution you. Changing the instrument cluster isn't bad if that's all you do and leave everything else to match. Also it's very easily to burn the circuit boards depending on your soldering experience. Mine was 0 before I started this. If you need anything just let me know.

It looks good in person. Color matches the radar detector perfectly. I guess that's why it's mine. Thanks for the kudos. It's been a really long project so far.
