BMW 1M

It occurred to me that we might want to keep track of those 1M's that have passed on before ours.

A solemn good bye, may they rest in peace. To their former owners and passengers we hope they did not receive serious injury and survive with fond memories.

If anyone knows of a 1M that has passed including those that were salvaged lets keep track here.

Please post as much information as you can including the Colour, the VIN (last 7 digits) and the original destination.

The numbers are dwindling.

That's what the Official BMW 1M Registry thread is for, with it's Google Docs spreadsheet of all North American VINs.

^^^unless they changed the database it was originally only a listing of bought or known VINs once purchased...did they start including crashed stats?

There used to be some sort of head count during the first days of 1M release ("there goes another one, and another one", etc.). But that ebbed away. But they still crash.

Respect the DSC nannies and look after your tires (timely replacement) to improve your chances of D.I.P. ("Drive In Peace").

There are VINs in there that are listed as totalled. One Canadian car (flood victim in Calgary, summer 2013) needs to be added.
