So ladies, what is it about the sentence "I have no idea" that is seemingly so damn confusing to females (OK, maybe just the ones I marry)????

This morning, while discussing a family party we were invited to:
Her: "Where is <name> going that it's a birthday and going-away party?"
Me: "I have no idea."
Her: "Well, did you hear anything from your mom or brother?"

I feel like I should reply to these just to point out how bad these jokes were, but I have you know a storm hit our cabin yesterday! I helped to clear the road and this idiot got a huge cut in his hand. Since I had a clean shirt, I ripped it partially to tie it up and he went very white (even for a Finn.). I would love to say it was the blood loss, but I think it was my out of shape body more.

In my case I think the person asking should know by now that I don't really care. What ever the party is for, I'd rather not go. And by reminding me, I have to make excuses to avoid it. Just don't fucking ask and we can both seem innocent.

But aren't Finns also by nature a cheap people? I say this being well aware that my background is Scottish and therefore, well, I suppose enough is said just by that. If so, it is also possible that he was simply dismayed at the wanton destruction of a perfectly good shirt.
