And any account of what some SA said to someone is to be completely disregarded as not credible. Dealerships know less about cars than most of us on the boards do.
During my deal, one SA told me how great my 1M's wheels looked and how really cool and wide were my run-flats.

James, that's interesting where you've highlighted the above about the V8 engine, because my 1M supplement book reads differently.
It says the following: During the engine's warming-up phase, the emissions control means that the high-performance engine has slightly rougher running characteristics. Before the engine has had a chance to warm up, you may hear a slight metallic noise coming from the exhaust system; this is nothing to worry about. I guess we must have different versions of the manual! |
