I guess yours is lowered. I am running 255/35/18 Yokohamas and as an earlier photo shows, they are square and w-i-d-e, but no rubbing. Dack stated the same thing with PS2s (as you had). Very odd.

That's what I meant, negative. But when I had my alignment done, the back right was at -2.4 (which was rubbing the worse) and they put back into spec (-1.8) and is now rubbing much less. Weird.

Just had my alignment. Same results as you - seems a bit better but it's still there. It only rubs when hitting large dips or bumps in the road. On my way to work there are only 1 or 2 places where it happens.

I just replaced my rear Michelin PS2 255 x 35 x 18's on my Alufelgen CS7s with new same spec Michelin Super Sports. I have rubbing on the outside of the right side rear tire against the inside lining of fender on bumps/dips. Left side is OK. Bummer. If I had known, I would have stayed with PS2s.

I'm running 225/40 255/35 Mitch Super Sport and I'm not rubing.

After putting about 400 miles on these tires, the rubbing has decreased significantly. So that's good.

Same. Still happens for me if I hit decent sized bumps in the road at moderate speed.

I've just put Yokohama ADVAN SPORT 225/255 tyres on stock MSport wheels and have no issues. I'm running 42 psi front, and 44 psi rear. Lovely smooth and quiet ride.

Could that be because Diesel suspension are set higher than the Msport 135i? so you have more hight to clear? is this true?

Suspension ??? Because I am considering on my Breyton GTS-R's 18-8.5, Michelin PSS 255-18 in the rear with an upgrade to the BMW Performance suspension.
On the OEM suspension now and my Performance 313 set with Michelin SP3 255-18 there is no rubbing at all. Therefore I fear an upgrade to Performance suspension.

Hey Pol, i have the performance springs with no rub on 225/255 Mich PSS, but I'm looking into coilovers, I can get lower with coils and no issues, good luck

Add me to the list. 225/255 on stock m sport susp and wheels, rubs at the right rear over significant bumps/dips at speed. I've only had the tires on for about 200mi, so I'm interested to see if it lessens over time.

Truth be told, they are so much better than the run flats that I have a hard time being really upset about the rubbing.

In what ways are they better ? or so much better ? how's the ride comfort ? I'm looking forward to replacing my rf with the Bridgestons S-04 pole position of the same size 225/255s.

I'm not a very technical driver, so take my comments with a grain of salt, but here are my immediate impressions:

Much quieter. I commute around an hour a day going 70 - 80 on rather nice interstate highway. The tire noise has reduced enough that I have now noticed some wind noise from the passenger window (and it is driving me nuts.)

More comfortable. They are softer, but I can still feel some of the road. Small potholes are no longer jarring. I don't feel like I'm fighting against the tires following road imperfections as much.

Noticeably more grip. Of course, one of the first things I do is go WOT from a roll. Normally, the traction control light would go wild and start cutting power. Nothing. Granted, I was already rolling on the power gradually to full throttle, but they definitely maintained traction when the old run flats would not have.

I switched tires after reading all of the positive reviews around here. I was honestly a little nervous that they wouldn't live up to the hype and that I'd feel like I had make a mistake. Not so. For me, the difference was night and day.

Yep, all I can figure is they changed the size of this tire without telling anyone. The rubbing will get better over time. I hardly hear it anymore except if I hit some really large dips in the road. I'll likely go with 245s next time.

So it's been 350-400 miles. The rubbing has reduced significantly. Possibly to the point that I wouldn't have noticed it had it been this way all along.

I haven't investigated what changed. I guess it could only be the wheel well lining or the tire itself. Is it possible the tire has broken in and relaxed a bit at the corners? Anyway, I'm happy.

Just installed PSS 255/35/18 on rear running 34 PSI, no rubbing so far. Drove into some pot holes just to see. Msport suspension, everything is stock on 261 rims. Had Hankooks V12 before and these are significantly wider.

Chimin' in ; 225/40/18 & 255/35/18 PSS mounted yesterday. Wheels VMR +40 & +45 - sport suspension

I came from Hankook v12' in the same sizes (which btw doesn't compare to the PSS)

New PSS REARs are rubbing on dips taken at moderate to higher speeds. - Rubbing is harder if I have a front passenger.

The hankook's only rubbed when I had rear passengers and the dips were taken extra hard.

Im hoping the "400mile rule" will apply to mine too...lol

You can probably get a slight fender roll that will eliminate the rubbing and not be noticeable in any other way.
