(2009 128i e88 n51) post car wash electrical issue

Took my e88 through a car was and the damn car is doing all kinds of shit. windshield wipers are going on their own non stop (cant stop them)

imedia is off

gauge cluster is off

thermostat wont engage

ac has electricity to it

sounds like shit and is very rough

if car is in acc mode it works fine but once the car is running all this shit happens. checked voltage of alternator and its at 13.5 and the battery sits at about 12.5 (is also a brand new battery)

if the car has been sitting for like a day and then i turn it on its back to normal but after a bit of driving it goes back to its bullshit.

Any idea?

I scanned with inpa and got EVERY code you can (which makes me think this is a water damage issue to something)

good amount of water came in from the seal on the passenger side of the car in the car wash.

Bro, E88s tend to not like car washes or wate/rain whatsoever. The less car washes you can do so the better. Especially drive in car eash. Its a No No. I would never do this to mine.

I have learned this in the last few years I ve owned mine. They like to stay dry and inside a garage if possible. 🙄😂

Sounds like you have to find for more water still inside the car causing modules to react to it. Open the DME enclosure and inspect the main connector. Look for any kind if moisture in and around it.

Good luck 👍

Space heater, fan, ventilation to the wet areas of the car. If it got underneath the carpet, prop that up so it can breathe. Let that run for a day or two, see what happens.
