is this radiator leaking?
hey folks,
I was in the middle of replacing water pump and hoses and noticed this white residue on the radiator. Now puzzled if those are just pipe connections sipping through or the radiator itself is leaking? It feels very weird that the radiator would crack in 2 places at the same time. And both places are quite close to connectors. I’d replace the radiator to be on the safe side, but that’s damned SULEV and the new one costs around $800 Last edited by vt100; 04-21-2025 at 02:23 AM.. |

Yes, it is and I've gone through 5 radiators because of it. I eventually replaced it with an aluminum one and it still started leaking from the exact same spot again. The seem to last 1 - 2 years and start leaking.

Note that the fan housing slots are there. Your fan may be out of balance or unsecured.
