After doing more research and looking at pictures, Sedona Red showing up at the dealer and being too orange started to really bother me. Switched order to Space Gray.

Bellevue and Seattle fought over me, and I got an acceptance reply from Yakima as well. Lower sales tax over there, but it meant I would have to drive a total of 5 hours for a savings of ~$300.
Seattle was willing to undercut Bellevue a bit but ultimately I went with Bellevue - my sales rep, Robert, was much more up front, honest and detailed in his responses than I found Seattle to be. Just my experience though - you should check them both out. Remember, Seattle area dealers will mention MACO, Training and possibly "documentation" fees. I got the doc fees waived and MACO/Training cut in half. Yakima doesn't participate in MACO but still charges Training. |

Hey, good price.
That car has the exact same options as I ordered except for comfort access. Nice ride. Space Gray was in my final four also. I had a hard time picking a color this time. Never had that problem before. Enjoy. |

Argh..2 more days and I am not totally set on Space Gray. Saw it at the stealership today on a 135 and honestly wasn't that impressed..although it was dusty..
Thoughts on the available colors: Black/BSM/Monaco - Too hard to keep scratches from being visible Tahiti Green - No way. Titanium Silver - Wife's car color Sedona - Afraid of the orange factor. Montego - Too bright of a blue for my taste. Crimson Red - Too bright as well. Cashmere Silver - Reminds me of an oldsmobile Blue Water - Much too light and "baby" blue for my taste So color finalists are, in no particular order: Space Gray - Hides scratches and chips pretty well, industrial, refined feel to it. Negative is that it doesn't pop much when you spend hours detailing. Le Mans Blue - Beautiful blue, really rewards you for spending time on it with a good polish/wax. Negative: scratches show up the most of the 3 finalists. Alpine White - Nice black/white contrast, CF parts look great, hides scratches/chips very well. Neg: Like Space Gray, it doesn't give back much when you spend hours on it. I'm going crazy looking at so many pictures.. Last edited by airs; 04-08-2009 at 01:29 AM.. |

My short list was Alpine White, Space Gray, Titanium Silver and Le Mans Blue.
The wife nixed white for no apparent reason. My last new car was silver and my wifes Jeep is silver - althought Titanium Silver was probably my close second choice. I almost placed the order with Space Gray. I saw it at the last auto show, and it looked really nice. When I went to the dealer, they had a few different models in Space Gray, and on that particular overcast day they were not that impressive. That and the fact that my current 325i is Steel Gray was enough to drop it from my list. So finally, I ordered Le Mans Blue - although friends still remind me I once swore I would never own a blue car. What can I say - I liked it best. Even I am surprised. I hope I still like it in ten years, as I plan to have this one a long time. |

I'll definitely post delivery pics
My rep called me today and said the vehicle went into 150 status earlier than expected even though it was priority 2. Too late to make changes to anything now according to him. Week 17 was the production schedule. Is there any way around this? I feel pretty good about SG, just would be nice to know I still have the option for another day or two? |
