ET37 offset will severely limit your tire choices in the rear. You may only be able to fit a 225 or 235. In the front, depending on tire selection, you may need a spacer.

An ET37 wheel on the front will stick out 12mm more than the stock ET49, so a spacer can only make the offset worse for fitting a wider tyre than stock, if rubbing on the fender lip is not desired.

12mm = 7/16" (less than a half inch) You are not taking into account the 7.5" to 8" wheel difference too, which would make it stick even further out from stock wheel position by 6mm. However, a stock 135i with the 7.5" wheel has more than an inch from the tire to the fender (it's actually 1.2"). It is pretty sunk in the fender. Many people run a 12mm spacer up front with stock wheels, to push the wheel out towards the fender more. The main consideration is that tire size will matter, and if they go fatter, then a 225 is about all you can fit. In all likelihood, no spacer would be required, but the wheel would be closer to the strut, with these wheels due to the width difference, and even moreso, if there's a fatter tire than a 215. With those wheels, the front will not be the hardest fitment, the rears will be far worse. The eBay auction listing them as 1series wheels is fairly incorrect. Although you could bolt them on, you'd have serious problems with tire fitment. |

This might be some help to the OP or anyone else for that matter.
In the "Wheel & Tyre" thread a guy mentioned some similar wheels in this post from a company called www.mlv.be >>link to wheels<< Then it looks like another guy has them fitted with photos in this post I'm not sure if they are the same wheels you linked to on ebay but they are very similar. |
