assuming the coupon is no good, how much would it cost for one race? $20? what do they charge for helmet rental? any other fees? thanks

I called and talked to Jennifer at K1 Speed Anaheim. Be sure to PRINT OUT and bring your coupon (which I sent those who PM'd me). They will honor it. Jennifer will be working Sunday. They are open until 7 p.m.

Races are about $20 each (about 12-15 min./race?); buy 1 get 1 free per person with coupon. Helmets are provided, but you can bring/use your own, too.

I'm thinking PORTILLO'S in Buena Park afterwards for those who want dinner.

Sorry I wasn't able to make it guys, I have a terrible cold I caught from my friend and I didn't want any of you guys to catch it. I slept most of the day, taking benedryl, and drinking fluids. Wish I would've been there..

Here are a few pics from today's fun 1-series meet at K1 Speed Anaheim.
Thanks to all who came out (including the supportive peanut gallery) and made it a fun, social time.

Congrats to Kevin for (consistently) being the fastest racer around the Go Kart track! His excellent lines easily turned the quickest times from our group of 10-12 drivers.

It was great meeting everyone. I enjoyed myself and look forward to meeting more socal 1addicts; I might become one myself in reality.

Maybe we can do it again soon. Would anybody be up for 2 weeks at Dromo 1 (orange) or K1 again (anaheim)?

Haha, I can't believe how sore I was that night. The next day was even worse.

I'm down for K1 again since we prepaid for 4 more races. It's time to trade in your car :wink:

My collarbones are actually BRUISED (from the shoulder belts being strapped too tight). I'll need to put some fat on around the shoulders/chest before our next event.

...wait! More fat/weight will slow me down even more. How will I ever catch Kevin?

I will be out of town (weekends) until Sept. 27. I'm up for either Dromo or K1 Speed again.

I'm checking into a STREETS OF WILLOW (Willow Springs) Open Track event (2 days)... put on by the L.A. Shelby Club. It will be 2 days (Sat./Sun. Sept. 27-28)... if they let us (non-Shelby's) in. Spots are very limited, so we'll need to register quickly if you want to go.

It would be cool to have a group of 1-series go to a track event together. I'll post the link with entry and tech. insp. chklist once I get the thumbs up!

Best part... it's only $205 for BOTH DAYS!!!

Mine too. I think it has more to do with getting hit hehe. I got T-boned once pretty hard by Roman (I think) at full speed when I spun out. That actually hurt. My back is bruised from the edge of the seat too. Those shoulder belts suck! I would get tossed around the seat the whole time.
