Looks like a dealer has an IS right now that isn't being advertised. needs to be brought down on price, but if anyone is looking.. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...394625252.html

I have a 135is in Deep Sea Blue/Beige (I think it is the only on in that color combo according to the list). I have had it since about 25k mi and it now has just over 100k. I had been thinking about selling it and buying a 240i but I love it so I decided to do a restoration instead.

I am thinking about doing the Dinan package on it this summer because they are running out of kits so I'd need to buy it now. I was wondering if anyone else has installed enough Dinan stuff to get a badge? Would it be the only Dinan 135is?

I have a 2008 135i with the Dinan badge. Has Stage 3 software and the required accessories (oil cooler, intercooler). Also have the exhaust and. CF air filter housing. I bought car about 6 years after stuff was installed. I believe that Steve Dinan was still involved at that time. I have some concerns that the sale of the business did not carry with it the personal enthusiasm that seems embedded in the presale products.
Which then brings the question: Even though the stuff you are looking at was designed before the sale, have modifications been made after the sale that could influence the product performance?
I know I appreciate my car very much and keep thinking it is time for a new car (like the 240i Drive), But my E88 is just too much fun and very reliable to really give up.

Mine has a cat back Dinan exhaust, but I think that is it... I love the sound, it is deep and rich, crackly without being over the top. Also mine is the Coral Gray, and I love it. just rolled over 76k on the odo.

Mine is not an 'is', but it had the S3 Dinan package, plus exhaust and Carbon Fiber intake.

Love the sound of the exhaust. Seems to have a tendency to drone around 2k, but the sounds are really nice, especially when top is down.

Based on the recent sales at Barret Jackson, cars with Vin#1 have been going for crazy money. I would fly that flag and tell everyone!

Lower mileage 135's selling for $12-15.
Lower mileage 135is's selling in the $20's.
Lower mileage 1M's selling in the $100's.

We don't own collector cars - more like "meh, interesting" cars.

Alpine White 124
Carbon Black 95
Mineral Gray 68
Space Gray 33
LeMans Blue 119
Sapphire Black 33
Vermillion Red 12
Jet Black 59
Titanium Silver 16
Deep Sea Blue 21
Cashmere Silver 2
Blue Water 2

I'm Jet Black, #179. I don't give a flying f&%k, I just love the car. I have the ability to go purchase any new BMW tomorrow, but I have no interest. I only paid $19k for the 135is, and every time I look at it I can't help thinking what a unique and badass-looking BMW it is. And every time I drive it I'm stoked.

I would love to buy a 1M, but after paying that much for that car I wouldn't want to drive it.

I recently went Dinan Stage 3 - tune and intercooler. Car is a beast. I'm considering whether the extra bits (oil cooler, etc.) are worth getting the DINAN badge.

I recently bought a 2013 BMW 135is in Carbon Black with only 53,000 miles for $22K. Planning on using it as a commuter / Fun track car. With the recent increase in prices, and the fact that the "IS" models are sol limited, I sometimes wonder if I should be saving it and not stacking the miles? But for $22K and to be able to say I added the miles I am more on the fence of saying F*CK It and using this beauty. Thoughts? I will be adding about 450 miles a week.

Enjoy the car. Did you pay for a PPI beforehand? 22k is a great deal, but were there any issues with the car, leaks, or maintenance done before purchasing?

How many miles did your 135is at the time of purchase? Did it have any issues or need any maintenance done?

I purchased my 2013 in 2018 with 42k miles. I just ticked over 100k. So far I've had the water pump go and had the VCG replaced, and a few other smaller things. Car has been solid from the get go.

Nice buy for sure! I am thinking of purchasing the BMW ultimate care package oil change for 3 years. I think it's like $200 for 3 year oil change but going to contact BMW and see how often they change their oils. Do you do your own maintenance and oil change? (I think it's like what 5k miles or so)

Also, https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2013-bmw-135is-36/

Gonna go for this one. Max bid 28k.

There was one at my dealership I go to a lot, 135is, convertible, silver on black, dct, with a low amount of miles, I want to say between 60-70k. They were selling it for 22k

Sold pretty damn quick, so I couldn’t rest drive it 😭😭

I also wonder if any IS owner has actually seen another IS on the road, aside from 1addicts or similar get togethers.

Here is the list of all the 135is coupes. They are listed by VIN and show the colors, and more.

Here's another fun thread for 135is owners, if you haven't already seen it:
