Looking for a serialized Dinan S2 or S3 135is owner

Hey all, I recently had the Dinan Stage 3 tune and intercooler installed. I love it, but I now want to take it to the next level which is fully serialized S3. Someone on here recently posted a photo of their S2 serial number under the hood, and I've lost the thread.

If you have a Dinan serialized S2 or S3 135is, please respond as I'm looking for some info. If you have it on the non-is N55, also respond please.

What about this? Because I think “Not Available” is only meant to restrict adding to the cart for purchase. They have a dealer locator too.

Yes, you have highlighted the problem.

You got a serialized badge because you went Stage 2, which required a tune and some hardware upgrades that supported the tune. That badge was a sticker with a unique serial number that went under the hood, clearly showing that the car had been upgraded to "Stage 2". That serial number was attached to your VIN.

Now, all I have to do is purchase 10 "Pedal Pads" and I get the badge, which is a trunk badge that broadcasts to the world that I have spent enough money.

I wanted something more subtle, under the hood, that proved my car had upgraded to Dinan Stage 3.

Very frustrating. I'm glad you got yours done at a time where it meant something.

Owning a serialized Dinan car with a subtle note under the hood is the quiet version of broadcasting to the world that you spent enough money. Same same. The badge means the same thing now as it did then.

BMW ppl and the need to feel special through badging is as normal as BMW motors and leaky OFHG.

lol, for sure - very astute observation. It's almost as normal as BMW dickheads using the Royal "We" and giving their cars names like "Blau".

Well I could not find information about the serial program. I can only suggest calling them.

If I had to guess, there is a stage requirement checklist buried on a drive at Dinan.

Thanks. I did call them, and that's when they told me the program is no longer supported. The various stages have hardware requirements - you can't get the tune installed without the hardware installed. But the official engine bay tag is NLA.

Awe. I’m surprised. I think Dinan’s sale to PE wasn’t better for the enthusiast. Maybe I’m just upset I cannot buy their LSD anymore.

Don't recognize PE. What does that stand for? (I knew Steve had sold out but did not know to whom)

Private Equity

APR and Dinan have very similar products for this reason.

How have you liked your Dinan/M3 suspension goodies?

The stance is nice. I have yet to drive it and its parked for winter. I’m hoping that when I do, it feels well put together.

It's been "nice enough" for about two months now. I was traveling for one. Got to enjoy it most of June and did so immensely. It's quite fast and nimble. Sounds great too. It likes to chirp the tires under load but never dangerously. That's great for safety but I'd rather it never break then or break and give me an exciting challenge It would be nice to drive a stock 135i to compare. A friend of mine says mine steers like track car and maybe so IDK. I love it.
