Heated steering wheel retrofit E82,83,87,88
Hello Everyone! I have successfully retrofit an OEM heated steering wheel onto my 1er, and am just finishing putting it all back together. I am filming a YouTube video for how to do this, is there anyone interested in there being a guide posted on here too? If you have any questions please ask me also

Would love that. My question is if it would be possible to preserve the M Wheel leather (thicker) and the M faceplate on the wheel.

I did the paddle shifters retrofit and regret not trying to tackle heated steering wheel at the same time.
I'll gladly check your vid. Peace. |

Unfortunately they never made an Msport wheel such as the ones that came with the E8X with heating, and my current solution is to switch mine out between seasons to have the best of both worlds lol. I will be investigating the usage of other Msport wheels that have heating that may work though, such as that from the F01,2 7 series, etc which may retain the thicker feel which I also much prefer; without paying ~$700 for an F10 M5 Msport wheel.

1 series heated steering wheel retrofit COMPLETED (guide)
I finally got the video finished after overcoming some rendering issues, here it is! it is a COMPLETE guide so it is a bit lengthy. I'm not sure if it might be too much to post in text/pic format on here, se we'll see.
if you have any questions, please feel free to comment there, or send me a message.
