I need new wheels :) !
Hi everybody !
I've a titansilver 120d e82 with M package. Actually I gonna mount winter tires on my 207M 17" wheels (Pirelli Sottozero w210 in 205/50 front and 225/45 rear ). I wanted to buy a complete set of wheels 269 BMW Performance on Salesafter.eu online shop until the price increase from 1750€ to 2450€ ... Now I have to search new wheels (and of course tires) for my car, but I really don't know which I can and I will buy ! So I would like you to help me a bit : I would like 18" wheels for summer I could buy in Europe (specifically in France, German countries, Italy or GB) ! I would rather buy some wheels which are mategun to contrast with the body of the car or anthracite and to complete the style of carbon parts give to the car . I've found BBS CK wheels (but never saw them in anthracite in a european store), 1M replicas (WSP Italy but only in silver, I would have to paint them ...), VMR 710 or VB3 but too expensive in Europe (1200€) or impossible to import them (due to the taxes and customs ...) ! So I really need some help, 'cause I'm gonna be crazy ! PD : would I rather buy RF sommer tires or normal tires ? Thank you a lot in advance ! Last edited by Fidiman; 10-22-2011 at 04:02 AM.. |

Sounds like your problem may be France. Maybe you can get the GT-CX wheel. Try contacting the people from Eurodivision. They seem to be based in Australia, but maybe they export to europe - at least to England.

If I buy VMR wheels, I don't know which one yet : VB3 or V710 'cause I saw yesterday à beautifull pic of a 123d on a french forum here.
He mounted 215 front and 245 rear :O ! He is lowered on KW and has 8,5" front and 9,5" rear ! I mean with stock M suspension it will rubb ! I've no idea of thé ET too ... Would it be better in the same color or in gunmetal ? Anyone to tell my what he thinks about it ? |

I still have no ideas which set of wheels I will order :
- if I choose the Breyton, I think I will have to buy spacers and those are very expensive (almost 1200€ ~ 1700$ !) - if I choose the VMR, I fear it will rub with 9,5" rear (255) when the tank is full or when I have something in my trunk :/ What should I choose ? |

VMR. 255s will fit fine in the rear.

In 8.5" or 9.5" ?
If 8.5" for the 4 wheels, will it change the feeling of the car (the feeling we have with wheels which have different width) even if there's 215/225 front and 245/255 rear ? |

9.5" with a 255, but check with VMR on the offsets. You want them high.

An 18x8.5 ET45 in the front with a 225/40/18 tire, and an 18x9.5 ET50 with a 255/35/18 tire in the rear would be perfectly fine. You shouldn't have any rubbing issues if you're on stock suspension. This setup is very popular among the 1-series crowd!

I wouldn't have any rubbing even if my tank is full and my trunk too ('cause I saw a member explaining he has a bit rubbing when he was full and passed some asperities on the road, but I can't remember if he was stock and if he has an ET of 50 rear, maybe a more agressive one ...) ? |

I'm lowered quite a bit and have 255 with 9.5 et50 only slight rubbing on dips. Once rolled though I have no mor rubbing.

Better for you to buy the Hankook Evo S1 ... this tyre is lower than others so rubbing with a standard stock will not happen in this configuration

But will the Evo S1 as good as the PS3 ?
I saw some pics of the VB3 and I find them better looking than the v710 |

VB3s are a classic, the only thing is that they're a tad more aggressive than most prefer for the 1-series. We don't recommend a 255 tire for VB3s as they may rub.
