I use Brasso. Works like a champ. I love my exhaust. It gets better over time.
It is the most frivolous, non-necessary, expensive purchase that I just enjoy EVERY day. Congrats! |

I didn't install it myself, but from pictures it looks to be bolt on.

The install requires cutting for the 128. If you want to revert back to stock though all you would need is a clamp. Simple job. Oh yeah, love the PE on my car (bozola is right, worth the money IMHO).

I installed mine a couple weeks ago in my driveway. Took about 20 minutes to install with the help of a sawsall. Sounds and looks GREAT.

After a couple of months with this exhaust, I couldn't imagine not having it. It takes the 128i to another level IMHO.
Install is pretty straightforward; did it in my driveway with the car on jackstands, but you will need a sawzall.

I have to agree with all the posters here...simple install (did mine with a hacksaw), saved the original muffler just in case, and it does "mellow" somewhat with a few thousand miles on it. Great sound, great option, definitely makes the car more fun to drive!

Sorry, very stupid question here but - what exactly does this mod do? does it just make the car sound better or does it actually add something to the drive?

If you can't find Brasso, try any of the cotton-wadding metal polishes. Eagle One makes some - they come in a small tin filled with cotton that is impregnated with the polish and you just pinch off a piece and rub it on the pipes, then follow up with a clean dry cloth. Great shine!

Where did folks buy their PE's from? Wondering on the cheapest option.. was looking at the Magnaflow, but it doesn't quite seem to have the sound i'd want, the PE exhaust however sounds terrific.
