N52 Golf Tee Mod
I have a friend that wants to make her 2011 328i louder, since I rarely venture over to the E9x boards I figured I'd ask over here. Does the golf tee mod that us N54/N55 guys love so much work on the N52 engine? I would just tell her to get an intake or the performance exhaust, but she's leasing and hopefully moving up to a 335 in a few years. Thanks in advance for your responses!

The electric/pneumatic valve for the exhaust flap is under the left side wall carpet of the trunk. Remove the electric connection and you get the same result.

I actually prefer this method than clamping the vacuum line. Did it on my current 128 and also on the E92 335 I used to have. Very happy with the result in both cases. |

Apparently this throws a hidden code that the dealer or mechanic will see when they run diagnostics.

Even if the code decided to come up during a visit to the dealer (which it hasn't), what's the worst that could happen? Plug it back in? |

That's what I was thinking, but I still haven't done it for fear of complications.
