im surprised you haven't seen a new map already. When I went through the process, it was really quick. a day at most between revisions. they are probably a lot busier now than when I had the e-tune though....you'll love it

Along same lines as OP, I have just installed an ER FMIC, ER Charge Pipe, and BMS Oil Tstat bypass on my 2011 135i 6-speed MT.

I now run the Cobb OTS Stage 1+FMIC aggressive map, since I have easy access to 94 Octane gasoline here in Canada.

I find that the power delivery is strong but not as linear as I would like.

Earlier this year, I installed a Quaife 3.46 FD LSD on my car, and since then, really appreciate the predictable behavior of my 135i on the track (lapping) and on the street.

I run a 255/35R18 Dunlop Direzza ZII square tire setup.

Before I move forward with a custom tune , I wanted to confirm that a custom e-tune with above setup will make a large difference.

With the 94 octane fuel I use, and limited bolt ons I have, is the e-Tune really worth it in terms of gains and smooth delivery?

How much gains in Horse Power and Torque would I obtain?

Can't comment on hp or tq gains exactly as I have not dynoed the car. But the difference between the ots and the etune map is like night and day. And it's definitely faster and a lot smoother. Worth the money for sure

Good luck
Should be a big difference between PTF and OTS maps.

I can also say there is a noticeable difference between the Cobb ots maps and the ptf etunes; even on 91 octane.

Another thing worth noting, as you and the car evolve, so can the tune. When you do future upgrades or if you change your fueling, PTF will work with you and tune the car accordingly.

Im working with them as well on my car. Noticeable difference so far and I'm only on my second map. Really looking forward to the end result.

Looks like Im going to try this!

Just got a reply back fron Dzenno, and with my modest setup, Im looking at a potential of another 20-25whp and 25-30wtq over stage 1 agressive FMIC OTS map.

The feedback from this thread leads me to believe we are in very good hands with this company, and they stand behind their products and customers!

Completed the e-tune cycle with Dzenno. Took two iterations of trying a map, and sending logs, to dial in everything and smoothen things up. Ended up with nice howl/growl sound under WOT, and a lot more torque.

Quite happy with the custom tune results over and beyond the OTS Stage 1 agressive tune. The whole e-tuning cycle took less than a week.

Dzenno decided to stop things after the second version of the map, and liked the logs I was sending him. He decided to keep a safety margin.

With the custom tune, I do reach a max of 17.6PSI of boost, and use 94 Octane gasoline only which is easily found where in the province where I live. Power/torque is pretty noticeable over OTS maps. I did use virtual dyno software with SAE correction with my logs to estimate power and torque. Looks like I might be approaching 400 ft-lbs of torque on some 3rd gear WOT pulls...

ditto, just got my last revision today from Dzenno. Took a bit longer for me since all we have in my area is 91 octane. Our cars tend to run funky on such low octane sadly. Have a dyno day coming up next month so I will have some numbers to go with the new tune

highly recommend PTF!
