1M side mirrors.
I swapped out my "Dumbo Ears" for some 1M mirrors I had picked up. Still trying to decide if I like the black mirror covers, or go with a "body-matched" color.
I plan to do a 1M front bumper, and 135i rear bumper with black diffuser shortly. I also have the Tii performance side skirts to install. Any opinions?

Sure.
I like color matched, no surprise given that I color matched my 1M mirrors. If CF is still on the table get the Genuine BMW covers. They are not skins, but complete replacements. I know, not cheap but fitment is perfect unlike the obvious skin job in the upper left of your attached photo. Or did you mean "Black"? That'd be alright.

But they came already on the mirrors assembled. If I were building them, I would have gone with different covers. I was advised that if I did swap the covers out, I would have to be very careful to not break these getting them off. Here are the original pics.

Or you could keep your stock mirrors and buy Carbon Fiber covers for them which would be cheaper depending on who you get them from, quality, etc. Or you could buy my 2011 128i mirrors in the For Sale section, then buy a set of Carbon Fiber covers to go on them and see how you like it. Then if you don't, you could always sell one set, buy the 1M mirrors, and then sell your stock set to recoup some of your money.

Maybe I can wrap them black. I would hate breaking one of these expensive covers as the PO said there were clip-in and on very tight.
I've never been a fan of Carbon Fiber at anytime, but I'm an older guy anyway.

Mirror covers are too light to be worth weight savings of CF.

Yeah....I guess the PO was more into the look of them vs. weight savings especially being side mirrors.
