135i M brakes pads question

RealOEM shows different part numbers for front pads for 235i with grey M sport brakes. Upto 10/2010 production is one part number and after 10/2010 is another.

Is this just different pad compound or pads are indeed different size/shape?

Good timing. I bought a set of lightly used 135i calipers a few years back from another 128i owner, and put them on my car. They came with pads so I didn't have a choice to make then.

I'm due for new rotors/pads now, and saw the same delineation/production changeover. I didn't think there were changes to the calipers at all other than paint colour (they were painted darker in later years I think, LCI). Why would the pads be different?

Is it a different compound rather than fit? Makes pad selection a trial and error exercise for me since the calipers I have came separate from the car so production date doesn't apply!

Thanks in advance.

May just be a different compound.

Although the F2x F3x F8x all share the same Brembo blue sport caliper the pad part numbers different between the models as well.

OP appears to have made a typo. A 2010 model would be an E82 so a 135i.
