Calabasas Supercar Sunday is DEAD

As has been mentioned in other threads... The lot was pretty much empty, though private security and LAPD were visibly in attendance.

A few brave or stubborn souls were parked in the lot, but were confronted with this sign placed in front of the Village Coffee Roaster.

This is a real shame not only to car fans, but the fellow who owns the coffee shop seems to be a first class guy. This post had a nice background about the whole matter.

Here's hoping there is still room for this type of event in SoCal...

Truly sad. I've been going since it was a small locals event in 2002 hosted by VCR. I hope a new location emerges soon, because we have too large of an LA area enthusiast base to keep down.

Wow that sucks guys. We have a smiliar weekly event here on LI. Every sunday several dozen enthusiasts come to a parking lot and just chill, talk about cars, and get some coffee. Hope our east coast events dont get shut down too.

We have everything from a sub 9 second 69 Camaro to a ferrari Enzo.

That is really sad! Now the question is who is going to organize the next location!?

According to the Facebook group site, it's going to be moving to a new location, but no other details yet.

ITS BEEN MOVED TO NORTHRIDGE mALL IN FRONT OF WESTERN BAGEL IN THE GELSONS SHOPPING CENTER
its on plummber between shirley and corbin i believe
ive been going mostly american cars we need to get some european cars to start going
every sunday at like 730
a new name too its called cars coffee and bagels

Interesting to know. I suppose the last Sunday of the month will remain the largest event? Do you know if this one is formally blessed by the owner/property management? I hope they know what they're in for...

There is a new event, Buckets and Brunch, which has all of the things that you are asking for (minus the once-a-month blitzkreig)... LOTS of room (enough that it will not be an issue), property "blessing", and they are very excited to host this!
