Some say "a picture is worth a thousand words," so we'll make this short, especially since most of you can't wait to scroll down to see all the goodies below. Huge 1-series enthusiast Dackelone embarked on a not-so-short trip to the Welt just to witness the Black 1M live and to share his photos with everyone. A big thanks to him!

WOW.

This is what I ordered and I am so glad that I won't regret it.

Still 50/50 as to whether or not I go for White or black but at least I know BOTH are fantastic!

Still think i will have to see both colours IRL before making the final decision.

Does colour choice have any bearing on production date? Do they make batches of a certain colour etc? Wondering if i changed my order to White if it would come any sooner.

Damn there's a LOT of metal in that paint! The camera flash reflects off the metal flakes and makes it hard to get a real sense of what the black looks like.

Will be a bitch to colour match that car if you smash a panel in 2-3 years time.

Needs a tint, darker wheels and & I still have a feeling the US spec amber corners are going to spoil a lot of this car's look... I wonder what the next amber gone solution will be for the LCI facelift... Hmm...

I'm ordering one end of april. Think that was the earliest I can order one.
Getting the Tropicanna Orange Color. Black Wheels, then having the calipers paint match the the Orange color.

I only used the flash like in four or five of those pics! I mostly use the flash for the interior photos.

BSM looked so good in person! Same with VO when I could only see that fender teaser back in Oct. The 1M looked great in person. It is hard to show - how wel that BSM has depth to it. Even when you look at the reflections from that KAABOOM sign or the light reflections... you can see the glitter of the metal flake. Very nice.

The car does sit quite high! Two of my fingers fit between the rear tires and fender. Three point five fingers in the front wheel wells. lol

It's paint, not rocket science.
There will be not problems matching it.

Sits way to high for an M car. Is it just me or regular 1-er with sport package actually sits lower?

Well... I have not see a white one yet.

I think I would go with black. Ideally I would like a TiAg or metalic grey. I am a metal flake guy. Color is a hard choice. I know I kept on changing my mind when I ordered my 135i last year.


Btw... my only real complaints about the 1M are: the high wheel gap(two to three fingers!) and the color temp of those new LED brows. The new LED brows do not match the AE (yellow) rings. BMW did change the projector though.

Lovely! I hope Meisterschaft makes an axle-back for the 1M as the stock unit is downright crude. Also, an iCarbon diffuser would look great there too!

I'm going to change out the coronas and springs as soon as I get it so hopefully that solves the mismatch issue.
