alexc93 > Keeping it AW -- it's my car's natural color and (consequently), one of the native 1M colors. I'm definitely going to wrap it though, really like that VO!

I owe you!

You saved me on the aux radiator set up. Going to go with a twin oil cooler set up instead of dealing with that headache.

You car is looking nuts

Much more efficient use of space with the 1M tray and shield in.

ShocknAwe > Yeah, the 135's setup has alot of non-functional space. The only thing I like about the 135's tray is that there was plenty of room for my meth pump.

Now I have to redo the entire meth setup.

Update >

Here's a little quicky update...

Here's a view of the Negative Battery Cable & Adapter For IBS. The adapter is needed if you order this cable...

Battery is almost there. The tire repair kit in this image is from a different car. Cost me $15 on eBay. After buying it, I found a guy in Germany that had a brand new 1M OEM repair kit (with the yellow cap). Once I get that in the next week or two...the battery project will be complete...

The devil is in the details. So I was laying back enjoying my work and had the trunk flap up when I noticed that it has specific indentations for the 135i battery and tray position. Would love to change it but, once again, the online catalogs seem to only have the parts for the 135i. I'll look into it...

TUN3D'S Hawk eye never misses anything haha! Take an hot iron and iron the certain parts that need to be flat hahaha!

Its looking good! Cant wait for the respray and finished look!

The battery tray was an interesting read so you just swop the two boxes out and is that easy?

Foook that interior is killing me 0.o haha do they work with the doors and windows open? would you recommend covering the interior with plastic?

That's more or less what I was talking about already. I couldn't find the one that I was thinking of specifically but it was very similar, probably either used the Howerton or AEM tank. Then had a custom enclosure which was wrapped in carpeting. Very stealth without being very $$$.

Tun3D,

So the cylinder secured to the left of your battery in your 135 tray pic is your Meth pump? I was going to ask what that was when I saw it on page 9 of this thread because my 135 doesn't have anything there. Meth setup should be a factory option.

Question. Ilikebmxbikes & Venom said that I would need a custom length ground cable when tackling the 1M rear conversion. Did you run into any issues with that? What is in the bags to the right of your 1M battery setup?

Sk8fe > Yeah -- the cylinder on the left is my meth pump (on the 135i setup). I found this to be one of the best places for it.

No custom length ground cables are needed. All you have to do is look at your battery and see how the IBS is setup. Then it's just a matter of buying the proper 1M negative cable. It's either going to be the "brown" cable ONLY -- or -- the "black" cable WITH the IBS adapter. Take two seconds to swap out.

Here is the black cable with the IBS adapter...

On page-9, the mini writeup should help in terms of identifying what cable you need. If for whatever reason you need help, PM me dude. Send me a pic and I'll help you out.

Tun3D > I need the black cable -- your pics were spot-on! Thanks!

I spoke to Jake at ProTuningFreaks and Motiv Motorsports. I hope in November they can hook me up and be getting some serious power on my 1 then after that I am focusing on my 1M rear conversion.

Sk8fe > Awesome man! Glad it helped. Don't forget that adapter.

Unless you're doing a custom single turbo conversion -- I would go with RB Turbo. Those guys are doing it right. There's a new offering of his upgrade coming soon. Might be worth waiting for. We're talking 550, 575, 600+ whp. Hopefully should push it into that 10 second range.

BTW, this is where I'm going with it. Whenever his new product line comes out (which is in the works), I'm getting a set.

MaDoNiOn > 1M vert? Daaaaaaaam! lol. Man, I'm curious to know what the trunk looks like. I also wonder if the soft-top changes things from a relocation standpoint on the rear i.e. battery tray, etc.

Tun3D > Do'n custom single (750kit) plus FMIC and other upgrades while we're in there (ER Comp Oil Cooler), etc. Full respect to those who are into hustling their whip down the quarter mile, but as you might tell from my avatar pic, I'm all about flogging the sh!t out of my whip through the twisties.

Thanks for the offer, I'll PM you some 1M Rear conversion questions I'm compiling soon. Thx!...
