There is a really great BMW indy shop at the end of the building that would or may have already looked at it. http://eurobahnimportsinc.com/
I've spoken to the owner of the shop end of last year great guy and told me a story about his e30 M3. I have never had my car in his shop, can't vouch for work and price. Just the owner is knowledgeable and friendly. |

Any accidents? That is pretty cheap for that car and mileage. I just sold my '10 with 87K miles for $16K here in OH through a private sale. Buying from a dealer, you would expect even a higher price for that car in good condition. There is no picture of the driver's seat left bolster. That is the area that suffers the most wear and tear in the interior.
Best of luck on your search! |

If it came in clean and no issues the Chicago wholesale market on 1'rs with TAKATA airbags is dismal. Last April all new car dealers stopped selling this car off the lot. If anyone trades to a new car dealer even the BMW dealers get this on trade, it goes to the auction or equivalent. If you remove 25% of the dealers putting money into anything- market devalued. |

As far as seat wear is concerned, you can get that looking pretty good by cleaning the worn area completely (and degreasing it by wiping it down with a cloth sprayed with isopropyl alcohol), sanding down the rough edges with a 400 or higher grit sandpaper, then applying a little 'coloured leather balm' to re-dye it. Had to do that for my 2013, had wear on the side bolsters on both front seats. Not perfect but good enough that no one notices . . .

thanks for the feedback, the car is going to be inspected at Mehta Motors a few miles away.
I gave them a list of the common 135i issues based on this forum. Great point about the driver seat. and thanks for the scoop about airbag, i'll have to do more reading on that. hope it goes well! |

This thread has a link to a VIN decoder, it won't tell you the owners but it will show all of the build options for the vehicle:
