Most of the problems I had on my STi and EVO VIII was turbulence and heat issues caused by short ram intakes. Some of the heat issues were solved by a bigger/better flowing intercooler. But once you got the STI or EVO cammed a short or cold air intake was necessary due to the amount of air needed. A stock box was good up too 500whp on those cars.
