It's goodbye after 11 years.
My 09 128/MT just left with the new owner. Been on this message board for almost since the beginning. Will miss the car but it was time for something new. Thanks for all the support and advice over the years.
Here is the new ride: 2010 TTS with 30K miles. |

Geez! Everybody's leaving and I just got here. I hope to keep my 1er running at least another 10 years if not longer. I noticed that you replaced yours with a car of nearly the same vintage. There aren't many new cars today for which I would trade my 1er.

Nice car, but I like the S3 better. What did that TT set you back?

I've had nothing but verts for the last 10 years. But I am getting too old for the super low two seat sports cars. The 1-Series is near perfect for me, so when the time comes, it will be another, or a 2-Series vert. OR, an Audi S4 vert.

You let a manual 1er go in favour of an Audi? A questionable choice but YOUR choice and that is what matters. I personally considered an S3 when choosing my new car, but the combination of RWD and manual transmission was too strong to ignore. And the the RWD/Manual options available to car buyers are dissapearing quickly.

I'm not getting any older either mate. If I'm parked on an incline it can be rather difficult to get out LOL. Seriously though, When the time comes, maybe a lower mileage 135, new cars are so meh. Or a well cared for e92 M3. I've been on a racetrack and had a M3 pass me like I was standing still, oh the sweet sound it made. I'm a first time BMW owner & I'm hooked!
