hole in seat

Is this normal wear and tear or is it defect?

Mine did that when I first got mine. The dealer tried to say that I was the cause, but the replaced it under warranty. They said that they would only do it once. I haven't had any problems with the replacement.

The seat bottom in my 128i was sewn incorrectly. The dealer not optomistic about getting approval because the replacement leather cost over $500 and there was quite a bit of labor. The replacement did get approved and the replacement matched the color of the original parts OK.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like leatherette. If so, if the dealer won't replace it, you can get it repaired at any auto upholstry shop.

They did replace mine and it was Leatherette.

yea its leatherette. Im thinking bout putting racing sheets in once its really torn up.
