Best LA dealer for service? loaner policy?

RANT: I just found out that some dealers won't give a loaner unless you bought your car there. This was a shock b/c coming from infiniti, i could go to almost any dealer, leav the car for an oil change, and drive off in another g35 for the day. I thought with BMW it would be similar if not better (i thought i read on this forum somewhere that they even have a service where they pick up your car, which made sense to me for the freaking money we're paying).

QUESTIONS:
1) Where in LA can you get a loaner regardless of whether you baught the car there?
2) What are the policies re loaners other than that?
3) which dealers in LA are good at diagnosing problems and fixing them? My most dreaded thing is where a dealer will say that "this is normal." If i bring a car in for warranty issues its a defect, if its normal for other cars, its still a defect.

go your nearest dealer, for warranty repairs and maintenance programs basic rentals are covered....you'll pay the difference if you want a Bimmer.

Most dealer's only give you a car if you bought the car there. And many times, it's Enterprise and not a BMW.

yep, just heard about this and it pisses the shit out of me. sales and service are speperate functions with service being much more profitable than sales (bmw pays them for everything they do). I would think they would want to attract service customers. Anyway, this is half the reason for this post.

know of any in LA that will give me a loaner (or pay for rental, i don't care if its bmw)?

I asked a salesmen at New Century BMW in Alhambra about this, and he said they would give loaners to anyone no matter where they bought their BMW as long as it was still under warrenty. Don't know if thats a BMW or other rental or what tho...
