Now, if the new Supra was 2800 lbs and came with a manual, this would be a different discussion, but a Cayman is still the one to beat when it comes to handling. |

https://www.autoblog.com/2019/05/12/...g-impressions/ Even Jalopnik said today "But it lacks the tightness that the Cayman has, the directness, the ability to change direction on a dime as if controlled by thought alone," and "The new Supra is good. I’m glad it exists at last. I’m glad it is real. But no matter how fun it was, I think it’s an F-Type-killer, but not a Cayman-killer." |

Sorry for taking so long to post a couple of pics of the DCT fluid service I had done. One pic is of the new filter which goes into the side of the trans. The other pic is the opening in the trans where the filter is inserted.
My mechanic said the trans didn't need to be fully dropped to get to the filter. But definitely need to be lowered some so the new filter would have clearance to be inserted into the trans. |

Definitely! I had a Mark lll Supra with a manual transmission and that car was a blast! Loved it till I totaled it. Not the Mark lV super supreme Supra, but still lots of fun! Might not've bought it if it didn't come in a manual.

As for what I did for the 1er today, I replaced the OFHG and coolant change. Easy stuff. The worst part was actually removing the air box. Not hard-just harder than it should be! |

Plugs today!
Not sure if the 95770 NGK's are coming back finally, or if Autozone just has some still floating around... BMS shows backorder, ECS says ~May 16 back in stock I ordered a set just to see if AZwas totally confused or if they really had these things ready to ship. I wasn't holding my breath, they've been on perma-backorder for months now. They did space on the order for a week, and I had to pester Customer Service to get things rolling, but they shipped the next day after that & were waiting on the front porch for me today... Mind you, I paid a premium for em at $15 ea, but have em I do. Their website claims to have more available as a ship to home item so if you need and you're willing to cough up more than $11 for em...

Since I've now had my 2012 135i M-Sport (45K miles) a little over a year, I thought it would be fun to make a quick list of everything done so far, just in case anyone has any questions:
- new windshield (CarMax paid for it) - new headlights and control modules, due to water ingress (CarMax warranty, dealer installed) - Phillips daylight balanced bulbs - new stock charge pipe (warranty, dealer) - VRSF charge pipe (I installed) - performance grills (I installed) - debadge - new side markers (I installed) - new 3rd brake light (I installed) - new side mirror covers painted gloss black (I installed) - swapped out door handles for gloss black set (I installed) - gloss black spoiler (I installed, but later removed) - gloss black vinyl on stock spoiler (I installed) - new water pump and thermostat (warranty, dealer) - new OFHG (warranty, indy) - fixed pinhole leak behind tail light and replaced comfort access module (water damage) with used one from eBay (I installed) - Michelin AS/3+ tires (indy) - replaced clutch stop with thicker version (I installed) - MHD stage 1+ (I installed) - installed Cheotech wireless charging mat in tray and wired USB through transmission tunnel (I installed) - center armrest delete (I installed) - steel performance pedal covers (I installed) - M3 front arms, M3 front sway, Dinan camber plates (indy) - Zimmerman disks with EBC yellow stuff pads (I installed) - Motul 600 brake fluid (indy) - oil change (indy) - Bilstein B12 shocks/struts (indy) - Whiteline poly rear subframe bushings and Dinan rear shock mounts (indy) - Manzo rear toe arms (indy) - alignment (indy) - cabin filter (I installed) - BMW all weather floor mats Whew, I think that's about it! Next big plans are a muffler mod, new wheels with summer tires, coils/plugs, and, maybe in a year or two, a real LSD. Also, I've got a few interior squeaks and rattles I'm eventually going to hunt down. Last edited by duder13; 05-15-2019 at 10:40 PM.. |

new phone holder
modified a brodit bracket by drilling two holes into it then got a wireless charger and drilled a hole through the clamps , pushed the clamps through the brodit bracket and cable tied the clamps shut to make it more secure. i now have a magnetic wireless charger without the worry of the charger falling of the airvents

what do you want to know/see. its a Erisin ES3840B android 8.1 see full details here. I got it from a UK seller on Ebay. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Eris...950684413.html so far my only complaint is the chimes for seatbelt warning/low fuel/ or fault chimes have changed and i cant control them to set them back to default but other than this its a great responsive headunit for not very much money. I have downloaded an app called carwebguru which alows you to fully customise the menu layout and home screen so the screen isnt filled with apps or widgets you dont want or need. dm me you want any more details or advice on it. sadly I didnt take any pics of the fitting process but it was straght forward and simple. the only mildly technical part was shaving the climate control edges to fit lower down in the dash which took 5 min to sand each side but you get all the details you need in the instructions and as i said it was simple. |

New suspension goes in next week (Finally)! Bought one of the last Performance suspensions left about 6 months ago, but had some other life stuff crop up shortly after and its been sitting in the box in the house since.
But today, finally got the rest of my parts in and scheduled my installation. Set up is looking like: M3 front control arms, Performance suspension, M3 rear subframe bushings. |
