BMW Performance Exhaust...Please help!
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to buy a BMW performance exhaust for my 135i. I have discovered that there are 2 part numbers available from overseas. USA no. is 18102208806 Europe no. is 18 10 2208805 Can you please tell me what the difference is between them and where did you buy yours from if you already have one. I hope you can help as I'm really confused and frustrated at the moment. Thanks to all who can help. |

Mate, welcome to the forums
I can't help you out with part numbers- perhaps someone else who has one here can chime in but all I can say is- buy locally! Have a chat to the boys at www.bmrautowerkes.com.au They'll sort you out with fitment too if you're in Sydney or shipping if interstate. They actually work out to be on par with $ once you've imported the exhaust from the US/EU and paid for shipping +/- taxes/duty. I'm actually considering getting one myself.... I haven't heard one on a 135 but on a 125, it's delicious |

Don't think these guys ship to Oz anymore, but I had purchased from them previously. Great service. Sure you would find other US suppliers without too much trouble |

the USA part number (ending in 806) includes the Y pipe and muffler.
the EUR part number (ending in 805) is muffler only. Very little difference between them sound/tone wise, the Y pipe makes it a bit louder but it also increases postage and installation costs. On an N54 with stock midpipes you can get away with the Y pipe if needed, but on an N55 or N54 with catless mids, the Y pipe + Performance exhaust combo is definitely approaching the level of 'too loud' |
