I am sooooo excited. Don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. Taking a flight in the morning. Then an 11 hour drive home. So worth it. Can't wait.

I looked for 6 mos. Almost bought one in Tampa a few weeks back, but it didn't have the sport pkg.

Didn't really want iDrive, but found a guy who will install CarPlay next week.

Pretty stoked.

Ordered the LCI tail lights. Just gotta figure out how to install those. I hear it's easy.

Got an alignment and the car drives as if it were brand new. Amazing.

Since iDrive is not a touch screen, what does CarPlay (spanned from iPhone to the iDrive display) provide for you? You can see what's playing from your phone on iDrive, but can't control it from the iDrive screen. Still have to control from phone screen, correct?
I'm in the same boat, so somewhat interested

The taillights are pretty easy, see the DIY but it's just a "take your time and don't break anything" straightforward process

Apparently, I will be able to control CarPlay with the iDrive dial.

The installer says BimmerTech or ZZ2 make the unit.
