AWRON Data Display

I was not at all planning on this mod, but for the price, I couldn't pass it up.

I'm sure people have questions, as this is a relatively unknown mod. Doing the install was an adventure with only German instructions.

That looks badass. Very subtle and clean installation. How hard was it to remove the vent? Explanation of the process, link?

Hmm, that's actually kinda cool. Pretty expensive though.

Beautiful display. I didn't see it in time or I would have snatched it up. For the price, imo, it's an excellent unit, especially if you want something that looks OEM.

You need to make a video review of the unit

The vent was the easiest part. It is kinda plug and play, but you gotta go pull pins out of connectors to get the Can Bus signals. Honestly if anyone wants to install one, I suggest they PM me and I'll walk you through the process.

I agree, I'd never pay full retail for it.

Haha yeah sorry about that! I doubt it will ever work with JB4. As the JB4 is a piggyback tune, it would be extremely complicated and you'd need to have a whole separate harness for JB use.

does anyone have this in combination with jb4?
read that this combo wouldn`t work together since the awron still gets the stock data.

It's a no-go as the jb4 sort of "clogs up" that data channel. The p4 gauge guys were able to figure out how to get the gauge to work in the little spaces where the jb4 isn't talking, but you'd need to move to an ecu reflash like Cobb in order to have a tune+AWRON.

The P3Cars gauge isn't quite as sophisticated as the AWRON gauge. It doesn't have the calculated horsepower and torque features AWRONs does. I have a feeling that those are the only things that would be false readings with the JB4 (and probably aren't that accurate anyways.) The P3Cars gauge is taking the same values as the AWRON, but its just not hardwired in like the AWRON gauge. It might be worth asking AWRON what wouldn't function, because i bet its only those horsepower/torque features which some people wouldn't care about.

Essentially yes. I have interior tools, and I used one to gently pull the top of the vent assembly out. Once the top unclips, the whole thing pops out. And then you just replace it with the new vent.

Wow that looks badass!

However, I feel the 135's ventilation is already very poor from the get-go. Having another vent blocked off will only make things way worse.

Thats definately a disadvantage of this system. I don't mind so much because i almost never use A/C or heat. I'm a windows down kinda guy.

Yeah I think I saw that one it was not in EU so not good for me... Though good for you enjoy it.
I wanted to make custom holder of manual boost gauge to the same location but my glass fiber creation level is to low I have tried but no luck...

Would love to have gauge in this vent.
