JB3 V1.4 Map 3 Vs Map 5 questions

ok so i installed the chip friday night , set it to map 3, went to the track(palm beach international speedway) saturday ... first run the car runs a 12.6@108mph ... and then i read up ... realzed that i live in florida where we have 93 octaine gas ... and i switched to map 5... drove it up and down the street real quick to get it used to it... and then no mater how hard i tried i couldnt seem to run the same times.... the car seemed to die around 3rd gear... like our 1/8th of a mile were great but our 1/4 were at best 12.7, 12.8 and 12.9 all day..... and it was getting colder so i was thinking that as it got colder , i would run better times...even with a 1.90 60'ft ...i got 12.9 ...i tried switching back to map 3... but i still coudlnt beat that 12.6@108mph... the mph of all the other runs were ranging from 104-106... didnt get close to 108mph...

My thinking is... that jb3 might need more than a few runs to get used to the map when i switch... but i need a confirmation... what does an auto 135i on jb3 v1.4 map5 @ South florida altitude and 60 degree weather run? is map 3 better than map 5 for my situation(93 Octane gas) and is there supposed to be a big difference between map 3 & 5???

I think map 5 - map7 should be the biggest jump. I couldn't believe how long the new 1.4 took to adapt (not complaining though because once she smoothed out I had a noticable improvement on gas milage) I was doing WOT runs on the auto bahn and it took 1/4 of a tank before the acceleration really smoothed out. Still nothing wrong with a 12.6 I bought a MT for the track so my best time with map 7 100oct meth downpipes intake and track tires was 13.1. Of course it was a pull on an airport taxiway that's slightly uphill and completely unpreped.

no other mods....just chip ... and shifting at 7k.... i met a guy with skyline gtr that used to have a 335i and he told me to shift at 6.5k because car died after that point but i didnt get a chance to try it... i guess it does take a decent drive for the map change to take effect fully...just wanted to double check... i cant wait for january when the track re-opens to see whats up...
