iCARBON DESIGN Intro Post with pics!!!!!

Hey everyone!

We know you have been waiting a really, really long time for Gravity Autosports to release sketches of their “Carbon Line”! There’s been a slight change of plans and although Gravity Autosports will be handling the initial group buy for our products, our company, iCarbon Design is the actual manufacture.

Gravity approached us telling us about the dire need the 1 Series community had for quality parts at fair prices. We decided to take the challenge and step up to the plate.

Below are a few renderings of what we currently have in production. Artist sketches will be posted tomorrow as our artist was out of town with sketches in hand. Our art department came up with these renderings to help you guys visualize some of our products so take them with a grain of salt. The hood is still in design, with vents still needed to be added, the hump being revised, etc. Feel free to post comments!

We have also included a list below that includes some of the things we are working on.

We know, ETA’s are a must, but we would rather make 100% sure of when these products will be ready to purchase before we commit to any dates. The lips and diffusers are about 3-4 weeks away from a pre-order with studio pictures of an actual unit both on and off of the car. Everything else is under final design and will be put into production shortly.

I appreciate the notification and wish iCarbon all the best, but this is yet one more vendor posting about future products... no time line, no pictures, no prices. Seems like more than half of these never come to fruition.

Btw, if you are making those wheels specific for 1er fitment, the offset on those is obviously ridiculously wrong. Those look more like a ET10, not an ET50, and cannot possibly be CAD output for our cars.

Too much vapor.

Here is some preliminary pricing from our retail distributors Gravity Autosports. Actual pricing will be heavily discounted off of MSRP for the initial pre-order to build market confidence from all of the 1 Series crowd.

Regarding the 128i, a lip will shortly be designed. Our design team was already working on it last week but the long weekend delayed things a bit. We should have renders available for viewing by weeks end. It follows the lines of the 135i front lip with a few modifications. The Mirrors, Trunk, Hood, Wheels, etc all fir the 128i as well.

Everything posted up are artist renders; they are not to be taken as exact representations of our final products, but just used to get a general idea. About the wheels, the render tries to show what we are looking to do in an exaggerated manner. The iC35's will be a mesh spoke design with spokes that go out to the edges to eliminate them looking to small, but at the same time, we want to keep it as concave as possible (with proper fitment) and the render tries to show that. Obviously once offsets, backspacing, etc go into play, the concativity might change. The render is simply to show what we are trying to do.

Oh, and about the rotors, we ave the option to do either Slotted, Cross-Drilled, or both. We'll open a poll to see where the most interest is!
