I used www.colorrite.com, but that is MC specific. There are companies that do cars as well.

They're 225/45R17 all around. They are pinched a bit on the fronts since the wheels are narrower. This should give it more neutral handling, but I can't do 4-wheel rotations which is one of my goals with going to a square setup.

That's exactly what I plan to do when my fronts go out.

I took advantage of the awesome weather this weekend to take the 135i on a small road trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway. This car gets plenty of action during the week on my long commute to work and back, but it felt good to take it through the paces on a long set of twisty roads I don't usually get to navigate. My wife, my dog Winston, and I sat off on Saturday morning in Asheville, NC -- elevation 2,314 feet -- and headed northeast into the Pisgah National Forest.

After about an hour of switchback turns, we had made our way 4,460 feet up to Curtis Valley overlook where we stopped to grab a few pictures with the mountains in the background.

From there we continued past Mount Pisgah at 5,722 feet, before descending down to 3,268 feet as we reached Linville Falls, our final destination. While the aesthetics of this build were simple, I can't help but love the OEM+ look it has.

*non car-related content*

We spent the next 5 hours hiking, taking in the views, and letting the dog swim around. Note the BimmerStreet N54 single turbo tee -- love this thing. I've worn it a lot, washed/dryed a bunch, and still feels excellent.

Then it was back in the driver's seat for another 2 hours on the Blue Ridge Parkway back home as we admired the sunset. On a few open stretches, I was even able to dial in the 23psi map I've been running.

This daily driver is an absolute animal, as confirmed by the reaction from my wife (her first time riding with since the single turbo upgrade) the first time the open WG dumps roared, and can hold its own in the tight turns thanks to the minor suspension upgrades. Next up on the agenda is another oil change (3,000 miles comes around quick at the rate of usage this thing sees) and scheduling DynoJet appointment for sometime in September so I can get some new numbers.

All in all, in the last 7 days, I've logged about 16 hours of driving and over 1,000 miles with zero hiccups. Let's hope this good luck continues, and all my maintenance will continue to pay off despite pushing probably close to double the stock power output.

Your car looks great! What are the suspension upgrades? I like the drop there.

Koni STR.T shocks, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Eibach front sway bar, Whiteline RSFB insert kit, staggered Apex ARC-8 18x8.5 & 18x9.5 wheels on Firehawk Indy 500 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 tires. Simple, fairly cheap and effective.

Looks like an awesome trip man! Great pictures too. I need to start bringing my big camera around with me more.

We went beach camping at Assateague this past weekend with some friends and the puppers. No fancy pics but the 1er does make a good drying rack with the bike racks

Finally got the VRSF DP installed, and swapped out coilpacks. Haven't done any logs yet, but the car sounds wicked but not overbearing with the berk street axle-back and VRSF DP. Installing MHD Stage 2 this coming weekend, I can't imagine really ever wanting more power out of this chassis. Really love this car. Suspension bits (m3 control arms, rear inserts) and FMIC upgrade are next.

Nevermind the car, I'm just here for Apollo.

Thanks guys! Nice to see Apollo again, what a great looking pup. I need to get Winston to a beach soon. He hasn't seen waves since he was a baby.

I think Apollo and Winston should get together to discuss the current state of affairs at 1ADDICTS.

Two adorable looking 1er mascots.

(I'm jealous because I have a cat that I don't understand and doesn't understand me)

PS - I do have a very lovable pet rat though. She gives kisses. lol

I'm scared of most dogs. Got bitten. Also let a dog in my car and it vomited.

But those two dogs above look cool.

Got a new oil filter + cabin filter from the dealership.

Had the service advisor also take a second look at the front bumper, he offered €230 to have half the bumper resprayed (obviously the damaged side).

I asked how much for a full front bumper respray, he quoted me €800, so i told him if you accept €600 for a full front bumper respray, i will book the car. He called his boss and gave him the green light.

Next Thursday morning the car is booked and expected delivery by Friday evening. Basically local shops offered the same price for a full respray, rather have it done at my dealership.

I may get a simple orbital/dual action polisher and some scholl spider pads and polish the car on Saturday, not sure.

There's a lot of love for pups on here!! Mine is always involved in my car stuff. Whether he's just hanging out in the garage or joining us on road trips.

Props for negotiating! My wife thinks I'm an ass (she's right) for always negotiating shop prices like this, but it's more rare that it doesn't work and most seem to expect it and are happy to work with you on pricing to keep your business. Especially if you're asking for something specific or small.
