I work with customers in for service to suggest an upgrade, we have a new dealership being built and due to open in November, this a position BMW wants in the new facility.
Nice. Wonder if our dealership will be the same. We are an "A" dealer. Service is 24 bays, 2 alignment bays and 6 wash bays.

"It's UUUGE"

New building opened on Friday.

I think the most talked about item is having an in house pastry chef.

Just to complete my jealousy, can you tell me what it would cost to lease an M2 with these discounts per month?

Not sure on exact numbers for that car, but the discounts are "significant". May have to get an M2 as a winter car. Ha ha!

Congrats! BTW - there is a slight creak under my dashboard when I travel on concrete highways at speeds between 28-32 mph. Could you get this checked out for me ? Also, has to be concrete - asphalt doesnt make the creak present

No problem there. Right now, they are so overbooked, even if you want an oil change they can't book someone in for 5 weeks.

There are also only two dealers in the city.

Can I work as a tech on weekends?
Or a salesman on weekends at the dealer?
Does BMW allow that?

I give technicians major props. I sometimes get frustrated just working on stuff in my garage as a hobby. I can't imagine the stress of being on a timeline for things like some idiot saying their door panel is clunking but it only happens once every 4 days.

You have no idea.

If you don't find anything wrong, you are not getting paid.

The worst is when you spend an entire day on something like a parasitic draw, and it turns out to be some shitty GPS tracker hidden behind the window regulator in the drivers door, and the manufacturer won't pay.

Wait, are you saying the dealer doesn't pay YOU hourly for the work you do, IF someone else doesn't pay them? Aren't you an indy then?

That is how flat rate works. You only get paid for what you bill out, either to the customer or to the manufacturer. Both good and bad.
