Alufelgen's CS7 staggered OE silver on stock non-sport 128i
So I bought the wheels through the group buy quite a while ago but was super lazy to actually put them on. Finally did today and one of my main concern was the car looking like a 4x4 with the new rims because I'm on my stock non-sport suspension. It wasn't as bad as I thought, it would be a lot better looking if the car was lowered but here it is for now.
Sorry for the iphone pics and not having a side shot. Rims: Alufelgen CS7 - CSL reps - in OE Silver - staggered Tires: Michelin Pilot Plus - F225/40/18, R255/35/18 |

That's normal ride height (and wheel gap) for stock suspension isn't it?
Were these pics taken right after you put them on? Or days after? Reason for asking is, you should let the springs settle back down, after jacking the car up. Takes a day at least. But you should see 1/4" difference after the springs settle again. |

If you change suspension components (shocks and/or springs) that situation will take a little time for the ride height to settle. |

OBTW, your car looks very nice with those wheels and the ride height is fine. For some people the lowered look is their preference, but for the majority of people the stock ride height is fine. So let's not let the small majority of people influence our needs to much. I am keeping my 135i stock ride height since it's my daily driver and I like the extra clearance for my needs. If I was using it as a track car that would be a different story.
I am mounting my CS7 wheels in the next couple of days. My Goodyear F1 Asymmetric tires just came in sized 225/40-18 and 255/35-18. Ti Gunmetal should look good on TiAg. Hopefully pictures to follow soon. We look forward to some better pictures out doors of your car and new wheels. Thanks for posting. |

Thanks for the comment. I'll be getting the car cleaned, and probably then I could try to take some better shots!
Look forward to seeing your setup soon. Quote:

I swapped out the stock brake pads with Cool Carbon at the same time. I like the pads and they dust about half as much and the color of dust matches the wheels better. |
